From Wyoming to the Homeland
Although the conditions were holding up in Wyoming, some warm weather came in and made me think it was time to continue on with my journey. With a lot of different options to choose from I decided to try and figure out where the storm was going to hit next. Snow was starting to fall in a few places, but I realized that I live this lavish lifestyle on a ski-bum budget, so I decided to start looking at zones closer to my hometown, Ketchum, Idaho. I checked out the weather forecast for the Sawtooth Mountain Range and found that large amounts of snow was heading that way. So I loaded up the car and sent it back to my home town of Ketchum, ID. The night I arrived back in town it snowed 26 inches with stable avalanche conditions. It was time to send! Some of the best days of the season where had in the Idaho backcountry that week. New Zones, good friends, and a new snowmobile. Life couldn’t get any better!
While I was in Ketchum, I was able to meet up with one of my best friends, Banks Gilberti, and film for his web-series Adventures In Transitions. It was so rad to be able to hang out with Banks, ski around our hometown resort together and get shots for his webisode series. I was also able to meet up with my buddy Tal Roberts, who is a well established photographer who lives the Ketchum area. I was able to grab some great shots with him as well. All in all, it was an amazing trip spent in the homeland. Here are some photos from the adventure.
